1) Who can attend the Silvis Public Auto Auction?
Unlike most auto actions everyone is welcome to attend and buy! To purchase a vehicle you must have a valid drivers license and be over the age of 18.
2) How do I bid on a vehicle?
Registration for bidders begins at 9:30AM and we can answer any questions that morning. We only accept cash, debit and credit card payment. NO CHECKS!
3) Where did these vehicles come from?
These vehicles were traded into the Quad Cities largest new and used car dealerships. These dealers often resell traded vehicles through auto auctions at wholesale prices to other dealers.
4) Can I really purcahse a vehicle for $100?
Bidding starts at $100 and the highest bidder drives away in the vehicle. NO reserves! NO holdbacks! Absolutely every car will sell during the auction. Over the years some vehicles have sold for as low as $220.00.
5) When do I take posession?
The same day! Once the auction is over we'll help you with the required paperwork to transfer ownership and register the vehicle. Once that's happened we'll hand you the keys.
6) What about the vehicle title?
The title transfer will be done for you at the auction and you'll receive a temporary license plate. Out of state buyers and auto dealers may transfer there own title at there convenience. Illinois buyers are required by state to register at auction.
